The gap
One product. Thirteen places it is described. Nine questions a buyer would ask.
We transcribed every US pack panel from Ethical Pet's own photographs, read the UK pack fronts and the archived and live pages of the brand owner, and pulled the listings of sellers in the US, UK, EU and India. Then we asked the same nine questions of each one. The cards below show the answer in the outlet's own words, a picture of the wording where we could capture it, and a link to the source.
The short version. Ethical Products' own marketing contradicts the package it distributes: the pack says to supervise and not to feed puppies, while Ethical's website says the dog can chew it unaided and its Amazon listings call it 100% safe for all life stages and puppies. And the product's brand owner now describes it as a hard chew that can become too hard to chew and should not go to dogs that gulp, to small dogs or to large dogs. That warning has never reached the US package, Ethical Pet's website, or any US listing.

What the US pack says, as printed
All eight US SKUs share this back panel. The front carries a size badge and nothing else about feeding.
Verbatim, from the back panel: “A complementary pet food for adult dogs. … Dogs should be supervised at all times while feeding. … Not suitable for puppies under 6 months, or before the end of teething. To avoid a potential choking hazard, ensure you choose a treat which is an appropriate size for the breed and age of your dog. … Pup Ice is intended to be fed frozen. Although it can also be fed unfrozen if desired. … Made in Vietnam, exclusively for Pup Ice. Manufactured for Ethical Products, Inc. Bloomfield NJ 07003.” Not on any US pack: “hard chew”, a weight range, “no more than 3 hours”, “9 months”, gulper or brachycephalic language, a daily limit.

How the brand owner's wording changed
The brand owner's site carried the same generic wording as the US pack until at least 18 November 2025. By 24 September 2026 it called Pup Ice a hard chew that can become too hard to chew. That warning has never reached the US package, Ethical Pet's website, or any US listing.
